Florida's health agency issued a swim advisory Thursday — recommending people not to go swimming at several beaches after an excessive amount of fecal matter was found in the water at each site. Two consecutive beach water samples collected at each of the locations didn't meet the recreational state and federal water quality standard for enterococci, an indicator of the presence of fecal material in water, according to the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade. 'The result of the sampling indicates that water contact may pose an increased risk of illness, particularly for susceptible individuals,' the agency said.
